LIFE: WAR EDITION

An exhibition of works from Natalie Krekhno, Anna Mudra and friends. What is it like to have your decisions taken from you? By circumstances beyond your control? In this exhibition pairing, Natalie Krekhno (Kharkiv) and Anna Mudra (Kharkiv) conduct twin investigations into the manifestation of the violence that suddenly remove autonomy from the individual. The exhibition Artists Support Ukraine presents illustrated prints selected by Natalie Krekhno from various artists local to Ukraine, presenting in a journalistic style the horrific consequences of the 2022-23 military invasion of Ukraine.

(UN)SAFE

In Mudra’s interactive video installation Un(safe), undertaken with collaborators Kateryna Derdiuk and Anton Begmenko, the artists present the natural beauty of Ukraine and its erasure by invading forces. The visitor is invited to consider consequences of their decisions - by not making a choice, you are still making a choice.

(UN)MUTED

Krekhno’s exhibition un(muted), developed with illustrator Alice Tsomkalo, presents attendants with stories of war crimes committed by russian troops against civilian Ukrainians in temporarily-occupied areas of Ukraine.
